Qatar 2022: Uruguay announces provisional squad for World Cup

Two-time champion Uruguay on Friday announced its provisional squad for the Qatar World Cup.

Two-time champion Uruguay on Friday announced its provisional squad for the Qatar World Cup.

The squad includes star forwards Luis Suarez, Darwin Nunez and Edinson Cavani as well as Real Madrid’s influential midfielder Fede Valverde.

Uruguay, who won the World Cup in 1930 and 1950, is in Group H along with Ghana, Portugal and South Korea.
