Liverpool full-backs Andy Robertson (left) and Trent Alexander-Arnold celebrate after combining to score the second Liverpool goal against Arsenal at Anfield.

Hello and welcome to the highlights of the Premier League match between Liverpool and Arsenal at the Anfield Stadium.

It's full-time at Anfield, and it's finished Liverpool 3, Arsenal 1

That's all we have for you today. Thank you so much for joining us. Until next time, it's goodbye. CIAO!

90+3' FULL-TIME!!  A comprehensive win for Liverpool after a commanding performance on the field.

90+1' Substitution for Liverpool: IN- Minamino |OUT- Firmino

Three minutes have been added on.

88' GOOOOALLLLL!!! AT LAST, JOTA SCORES!! What a way to mark your Premier League debut with Liverpool. Once again, the move started with TAA's cross. Luiz, who has been good all night, gets in the way with a poor clearing header. The ball falls to Jota at the edge of the area and scores his first Liverpool goal with a sublime volley.

83' MISSED! How did Jota not score that?! Egyptian Salah does incredibly well to dribble his way into the box from the right flank . He then cuts back and from the edge of the area, picks out Jota in space with a marcellous through ball. Jota, with his left boot, only manages to hit the side netting.

82' WIDE! Diogo Jota runs at Holding on the left flank, moves inward to the cusp of the box before curling the ball just wide of the far post off his right boot.

79' Substitution for Liverpool: IN- Milner, Jota | OUT- Mane, Keita

76' END-TO-END FOOTBALL! Ceballos sets up Nketiah with a peach of a through ball but the latter is beaten to the ball by Alisson as the 'keeper once against charges off his line to clear the ball. Nketiah would have been off-side anyways. Down the other end, Firmino's side drags just wide off goal after taking a deflection from Tierney.

74' Substitution for Arsenal: IN- Nketiah | OUT- Lacazette

72' YELLOW CARD FOR CEBALLOS! He is booked for a heavy shove on Mane.

70' 20 minutes to go!

69' Substitution for Arsenal: IN- Pepe | OUT- Willian

68' YELLOW FOR BELLERIN! A foul on Mane and he enters the book.

64'JUST WIDE! Poor marking costs Arsenal a third goal. Mane is allowed to run down the centre to the edge of the area. He plays a 1-2 with Firmino, who sets up Mane near the spot. But Mane had to turn 180 degrees and could only manage to hit it wide of the right post.

63' SAVEE!!! THIS TIME, LACAZETTE WAS ON SIDE!! Chance gone begging for Arsenal. Ceballos threads a delicious through ball down the right to free Lacazette, who is through on goal. Alisson charges off his line and Lacazette, once again, fails to beat an agile Alisson.

62' SAVE BY LENO! Van Dijk, in space 25 yards out, has a crack at goal. Leno gets down and low to his left on time to make the save.

60' Substitution for Arsenal: IN- Ceballos | OUT- Xhaka

59' SAVEEEE BUT OFF-SIDE!! Liverpool had its heart in its mouth for a moment when Lacazetter found himself one-on-one with Alisson at the edge of the area. The Arsenal striker failed to chip the ball over the Liverpool 'keeper, who stood tall. But the goal would not have counted anyways as the linesman raised his flag for Lacazette's run.

58' FOUL! Fabinho with a hefty sliding tackle on Willian sees the latter go down. No booking but Willian looks n a bit of discomfort.

57' POUCHED! Robertson's cross from the left flank, seeking Firmino near the penalty area, is picked off by Leno.

55' Arsenal enjoying more possession in the second half and look threatening when advancing forward. Good start to the half by Arteta's Gunners.

51' LUIZ IN THE WAY AGAIN! TAA's cross from the right flank is chested away by David Luiz at near post.

49' YELLOW FOR TAA! He is booked for a late tackle on Tierney.

48' BLAZED OVER! Sadio Mane with half a chance early in the second half. The Senegal international is freed in the centre with a long ball from Wijnaldum and he darts to the cusp of the box. He looks right for support but decides to go for goal with his weak foot after finding no support.

The final 45 is underway at Anfield.

SECOND HALF BEGINS!

=========================

70% possession in the home team's favour.

406 passes to 179 in Liverpool's favour.

After a strong start, the Gunners recieved a gift and Lacazette obliged to take his team ahead. But from thereon, it was all Liverpool. That level of football, with that level of relentless was too much for Arsenal to handle. First Mane and then Roberston, Liverpool took the lead very quickly. This is a fixture that never disappoints and it's definitely lived up to its billing so far. Second half on the other side of the break. Stay tuned!

45+2' HALF-TIME!! The referee's whistle brings a dominating Liverpool half to an end!

Two minutes have been added on!

42' CHANCE BUT OFF-SIDE! David Luiz with an impressive long ball from the back and Maitland-Niles gets to it first. His first touch is poor and the ball rolls to Alisson. However, he was deemed off-side. Just by a whisker.

34' GOOOOOALLLL!!!!! LIVERPOOL SCORES AGAIN AND TAKES THE LEAD!!!! Talk about a strong response. Coming to the goal, Liverpool's relentlessness paid off as TAA's inch-perfect delivery into the box from the right caught Robertson unmarked. The LB chests it, controls it and taps it past Leno with ease.

28' GOOOOAAALLLL!!! LIVERPOOL DRAWS BACK LEVEL!!!!! YOU JUST CANNOT WRITE ANY TEAM OFF TONIGHT! In two minutes and 25 seconds, the home side has drawn back level! Excellent refereeing from Craig Pawson. After Luiz fouls Mane, the referee gives Liverpool the advantage. Firmino latches on to the loose ball and threads it quickly to Salah. The Egyptian gets past Tierney with ease and shoots at goal. Leno's punch is only as strong as a yard as the rebound falls to an unmarked Mane, who scores from less than 6 yards out.

25' GOOOOOALLLL!!!!! IT'S ARSENAL THAT'S SCORED! NOT LIVERPOOL BUT ARSENAL!! COMPLETELY AGAINST THE RUN OF PLAY! After being squeezed for space in its own half, the Gunners break free on the counter. Lacazette, from the centre line, threads a lovely through ball to Maitland-Niles on the left. He bursts forward in space before squaring it back to Lacazette from the edge of the box. Initially, Lacazette over shot and the cros went straight to Roberston. The LB failed to play the ball completely, gave it away to Lacazette in space. The striker turned and slotted it over an imbalanced Alisson.

21' OFF THE BAR! The corner is headed away by Luiz and the ball falls to TAA. He rifles the ball at goal, which takes a heavy delfection off Bellerin before bouncing off the bar. Arsenal surives!

21' CORNER FOR LIVERPOOL! Firmino takes the ball to the edge of the box before freeing Roberston on the left wing. The left-back whips the ball into the box. Granit Xhaka clears the ball behind for a Liverpool corner.

15' SAVE! Liverpool comes ever so close, yet again. The host is all over the Gunner so far. TAA's cross from the right flank is met with a half-volley by Mane at near post. He sweeps it at goal but Leno manages to keep it out.

12' CLEARED OFF THE LINE BY LUIZ! Trent Alexander-Arnold, after winning the ball off Tierney, unleashes a beautiful cross into the box. Van Dijk meets the ball with his head at the far post and tries to bring in Firmino. However, David Luiz ensures the ball is cleared from danger.

11' CORNER FOR LIVERPOOL! First of the night. Roberston is freed from the centre on the left and he goes all the way to the byline before squaring it. However, the cross is blocked. Nothing comes off the corner.

10' Arsenal is happy to sit back and play deep for now. With Liverpool on the constant attack, Arsenal is holding back.

6' Liverpool enjoying the lion's share of ball in the opening five minutes. They are looking the more confident of the two sides. Brilliant start from the home team.

3' Yellow card for Mane! He is booked for a harsh, rather callous, challenge on Tierney! The Arsenal man went fown after being hit in the face by Mane.

Thiago in frame for first Liverpool start against Arsenal

Liverpool midfield signing Thiago Alcantara is in contention to make his first start for his new club against Arsenal in the Premier League on Monday, manager Juergen Klopp said.

Thiago joined Liverpool from Bundesliga and Champions League winners Bayern Munich earlier this month and looked every bit the class act in a 45-minute cameo during Sunday’s win over Chelsea following an injury to skipper Jordan Henderson.

The Spaniard’s first involvement after coming off the bench was to concede a penalty that Alisson saved, but he soon slotted in seamlessly, pulling the strings in midfield and starting the move that led to Liverpool’s second goal in the 2-0 win.

“We will see,” Klopp told reporters on Friday when asked if he would start the 29-year-old. “I have an idea but why should I make the decision today when we have time until Monday? He is in contention for sure.”

Defender Joe Gomez is expected to resume training before the game, but with fellow centre back Joel Matip still out Klopp could continue to pair midfielder Fabinho with Virgil van Dijk, after the Brazilian’s impressive showing against Chelsea.

Arsenal beat Liverpool on penalties in this season’s Community Shield and though they have not won a league game at Anfield since 2012, both teams are looking to preserve their perfect starts to the season.

Klopp said Arsenal had improved dramatically under Spanish coach Mikel Arteta and were set up to defend in numbers and hit opponents on the break.

“Mikel Arteta has showed in a very short period of time that he’s an exceptional football manager,” the German added. “The structure of the team he sets up is absolutely exceptional. You can see the balance between defence and offence is really good.

“I don’t know what the mood was before he arrived but I don’t think a lot of people thought he’d win a competition by the end of the season. He did that by winning the FA Cup and the (Community Shield) so... it’s a tough, tough, tough opponent 100%.”

The match at Anfield will come too soon for Henderson, who left the pitch against Chelsea with a minor muscle injury.

PREDICTED LINE-UPS:

Liverpool: Adrian; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Thiago, Fabinho, Wijnaldum; Salah, Firmino, Mane

Arsenal: Leno; Holding, Gabriel, Tierney; Bellerin, Ceballos, Xhaka, Saka; Willian, Lacazette, Aubameyang
