After signing young goalkeeper Dheeraj Singh early this season, Kerala Blasters FC has now roped in another under-17 World Cup star Jeakson Singh Thounaojam for the Indian Super League.

The Blasters announced the signing of midfielder Jeakson, who scored India’s lone goal in the under-17 World Cup last year, on Wednesday evening.

After the World Cup, Jeakson, from Haokha Mamang Village in Manipur's Thoubal District, was picked to play for Indian Arrows, an All India Football Federation-owned team in the I-League.
