Star raider Rahul Chaudhari hopes for the big turn-around in Telugu Titans’ fortunes as it begins the crucial journey of coming back into contention when the home stretch of the Pro Kabaddi League begins at Visakhapatnam from December 7.

“We have had a disappointing stint so far, not able to get the combinations right. Somehow, we were not able to click both in defence and in raiding at the same time so far,” says Rahul, in a chat with Sportstar on the sidelines of a promotional event.

“Well, Titans is always known as No.1 team for the ability to come back strongly when critics start writing them off. We are working really hard to get the winning streak going.

“Yes, the main focus for us now will be to avoid super-tackles from our side and score as many raid points as possible,” the 2016 Asian Games gold medallist adds.

Chaudhari says he is disappointed with the way the league has panned out for his team. “Definitely, I am disappointed. We lost our way in a couple of games for different reasons. We are in the process of getting things right as the coaching staff and the players are determined to set the clock right,” he says.

Determined to score more raiding points, Chaudhari says, “We play six matches in Visakhapatnam and it is imperative to win all six of them as in all we have only nine more games left in the Zone B (Titans is fourth with 33 points with five wins and seven loses besides a draw in 13 matches).

“Otherwise, we will be nowhere in contention. We hope playing at ‘home’ at this crucial phase of the league should help us comeback strongly with the crowd support. To win at home will be the biggest challenge as we chase the dream of winning the title in this edition,” Rahul signs off.
