PKL 2018: Pune defeats Delhi, Bengaluru edges out Patna Pirates

Puneri Paltan kept Dabang Delhi at bay to win 31-27, while Bengaluru Bulls held its nerve to beat Patna Pirates 43-41 at the Pataliputra Sports Complex in Patna.

Hello and welcome to the LIVE blog of Wednesday's matches in the Pro Kabaddi League 2018 at the Pataliputra Sports Complex in Patna.

Puneri Paltan takes on Dabang Delhi in a Zone A fixture. The Paltan comes on the back of a defeat to  Gujarat Fortunegiants on Tuesday. Later in the evening, host Patna Pirates meets the Bengaluru Bulls and two in-form raiders - Pawan Sehrawat and Pardeep Narwal - clash.

41-43 Manjeet is tackled by the defence in a do-or-die ride, as Pawan comes back with a bonus point with the final raid of the match and that wins the match for Bengaluru, which condemns Patna Pirates to its second consecutive loss in two days.

41-41 Rohit Kumar waits at the centre line to finish the 30 seconds of his raid time and plays it safe.

41-41 A bonus point won by Pardeep Narwal and taking out Kashling Adake gets the host back on level terms. Just 80 secs left in the match.

26-23 Kashiling Adake is taken out the Patna defence after he tags two players in the centre.

21-18 Mahender tries to take Pardeep Narwal head on the left side, but the Patna raider easily reaches the line.

20-17 Pawan Sehrawat is taken out of the lobby by the Patna Pirates defence, Deepak Narwal manages to stay inside the line and saves a point.

18-17 Deepak Narwal gets Sumit Singh to snatch back the lead for Patna.

15-16 Manjeet gets another raid point as he takes out Kashiling Adake.

13-15 Kashiling Adake comes back with an empty raid. But Vikas Kale gets Rohit Kumar in the next raid.

HALF-TIME

15-22  Quite a turnaround in final moments of the half which Puneri Paltan go into the break with a sizeable lead. But the way the game has gone so far, it's very hard to predict which way it'll go in the second half.

15-21 Puneri Paltan is building on the momentum and has a six-point lead now.

15-19 Monu picks up 2 points leaving Delhi with just one man, who picks up a bonus point at the other end but is floored by Pune and the tables have turned yet again.

13-13 Super raid! Ravinder Pahal makes a foolish tackle and Monu picks up 3 points for Puneri Paltan. It's all level again.

13-9 Chandran Ranjit reached 100 raid points in PKL with his super raid earlier. Delhi has a slight upper hand in the game now.

10-8 And all of a sudden Delhi has gone into the lead after inflicting an all-out on Puneri Paltan.

6-7 Puneri Paltan is down to just two men on the mat as Dabang Delhi finds a way back into the game.
