Olympian Annu Raj Singh was able to outclass Asian Games gold medallist and fellow Olympian Rahi Sarnobat 37-29 in the final of the women’s 25-metre sports pistol in the sixth National shooting selection trials at the Dr. Karni Singh Range, Tughlakabad, on Thursday.
Rahi who won the Olympic quota for Tokyo in style with a gold medal in the Munich World Cup, shot an intimidating 588 in the qualification phase, 15 points better than Annu Raj.

Pushpanjali Rana rose to the third place ahead of Gauri Sheoran, Neeraj Kaur, Chinki Yadav, Shreya Gawande and Niveditha Nair.
In the women’s 50-metre rifle prone event, Anjum Moudgil topped with 619.4, half a point better than the former World champion Tejaswini Sawant.
In the men’s 50-metre rifle prone event, Tarun Yadav topped with 623.9, ahead of Navdeep Singh Rathore and Olympian Sanjeev Rajput.
