World C'ships: Indian women go down to Belarus

Indian suffered its fourth straight defeat in the women's Group-A Championship Division match of the World team table tennis championship here on Tuesday, losing to Belarus 3-0. In its last group contest, India will take on Russia at 10.40 p.m. IST on Tuesday. India will now have to play for positions 13 to 24.

Also, on Tuesday, India's men's team takes on Croatia in a must-win encounter at 7.30 pm IST.

Group A: India lost to Belarus 3-0 (Mouma Das lost to Viktoria Pavlovich 11-9, 10-12, 7-11, 8-1; Manika Batra lost to Nadezhda Bogdanova 11-4, 10-12, 3-11, 10-12; Madhurika Patkar lost to Daria Trigolos 11-5, 7-11, 10-12, 11-9, 7-11).
