Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan in partnership with Marcelo Arevalo of El Salvador beat the top seeds, Leander Paes in partnership with Miguel Angel Reyes-Varela of Mexico, 6-1, 6-4 in the doubles final of the $150,000 Challenger tennis tournament in Mexico.
The champion team collected 125 ATP points and $9,300. The runners-up had to be content with 75 points and $5,400.

It was the fourth Challenger title of the season and eighth of his career for the 29-year-old Jeevan, who had won the ATP title with Rohan Bopanna in Chennai last year.
In the ATP Masters in Shanghai, Wimbledon quarterfinalists, Divij Sharan and Artem Sitak of New Zealand beat wild card entrants Mao-Xin Gong and Ze Zhang to set up a second round against third seeds Marcelo Melo of Brazil and Lukasz Kubot of Poland.
In the $750,000 WTA event in Tianjin, Prarthana Thombare in partnership with Jacqueline Cako of the US beat Chinese wild cards Guo Hanyu and Zhu LIn 7-5, 6-3 in the doubles pre-quarterfinals.
