Bopanna-Cuevas pair ousted from Paris Masters

The champions last week in Vienna, Rohan Bopanna and his partner Pablo Cuevas of Uruguay were beaten 6-2, 7-6(7) by the Colombians JuanSebastian Cabal and Robert Farah in the doubles first round of the € 4,507,375 Rolex Paris Masters ATP-1000 tennis tournament.

The first round loss in a draw of 32 meant no ATP points for the pair which collected €8730.

In the $75,000 Challenger in China, Sriram Balaji and Vishnu Vardhan beat the second seeds from Chinese Taipei, but the top seeded Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan in partnership with Christopher Rungkat of Indonesia bowed out after a tough first in the first round.

In the Australian Challenger, Sasi Kumar Mukund was beaten in the first round by lucky loser Benjamin Mitchell.
