Rohan Bopanna in partnership with Dominic Inglot of Britain was beaten 7-6 (5), 6-3 by Robert Farah and Juan Sebastian Cabal in the doubles first round of the EUR 5,791,280 ATP-1000 tennis tournament in Rome, Italy.

In the ITF women’s event in Singapore, qualifier Ashmitha Easwaramurthi battled past Kwan Yau Ng of Singapore 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (3). Rutuja Bhosale also sailed into the pre-quarterfinals, while Sowjanya
Bavisetti lost to the second seed.
