Top seeded Leander Paes, in partnership with Miguel Angel Reyes-Varela of Mexico, defeated the Spanish pair of David Ferrer and Pedro Martinez 6-3, 6-4 in the doubles pre-quarterfinals of the $150,000 Challenger tennis tournament in Mexico.
Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan also made the doubles quarterfinals in partnership with Marcelo Arevalo of Estonia.
In the ITF women’s event in Australia, Rutuja Bhosale made the singles quarterfinals and the doubles final in partnership with Shilin Xu of China.
