Rohan Bopanna is two wins away from clinching the doubles title in Dubai.

Rohan Bopanna, in partnership with Marcin Matkowski of Poland, got past Florin Mergea of Romania and Viktor Troicki of Serbia 6-3, 6-4 in the doubles quarterfinals of the $2,617,160 ATP event in Dubai on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, in the $15,000 ITF women’s event in Spain, former Asian junior champion Snehadevi Reddy made the quarterfinals, while Karman Kaur Thandi was beaten 7-5, 6-3 by the top seed in the second round in a keen tussle that lasted two hours.
