Key highlights from the quarterfinal clash between Saina Nehwal and Tai Tzu at French Open.

While in the men's doubles, Satwiksairaj and Chirag Shetty stormed into the semis after beating compatriots Manu Attri and Sumeeth Reddy 21-17, 21-11. 9:41pm: This has been some sort of comeback by Tai Tzu as she takes the first game 22-20. On the other in men's doubles, the duo of Satwisairaj and Chirag has won the first game 21-7.

9:18pm: Now we are all set as Saina Nehwal starts India's campaign of the day when she takes on Tai Tzu Ying of Taiwan. Simultaneously, there would be clash of the two Indian pairs in men's doubles - Mannu Attri-Sumeeth Reddy vs Satwiksairaj-Chirag Shetty.

P.V. Sindhu advanced to the quarterfinals with a straight-game win over Japan’s Sayaka Sato but B. Sai Praneeth crashed out after losing to Jonatan Christie of Indonesia.
While, Saina Nehwal continued her good run by outwitting former World champion Nozomi Okuhara of Japan 10-21, 21-14, 21-17 in a closely fought match.
Sindhu, seeded third, dished out a compact game to outwit Sayaka 21-17, 21-16 in the second round match on Thursday to set up a clash with seventh seeded Chinese He Bingjiao.
However, Praneeth was no match for Asian Games champion Christie of Indonesia, going down 16-21, 14-21.
The men’s doubles pairs of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty and Manu Attri and B. Sumeeth Reddy too put up a good show, progressing to the quarterfinals with straight game wins.
While Satwik and Chirag defeated China’s He Jiting and Tan Qiang 21-13 21-19, Manu and Sumeeth stunned third seeded Chinese combination of Liu Cheng and Zhang Nan 21-14, 21-16 in another match.
However, it was curtains for Meghana Jakkampudi and Poorvisha S. Ram as the duo went down 15-21, 13-21 to fourth seeded Indonesian pair of Greysia Polii and Apriyani Rahayu.
