Yuzvendra Chahal has mapped out his preparations for the England tour.

With the IPL entering its business end, Indian players are already looking forward to their next international assignments. While India hosts Afghanistan for its maiden Test next month, the big challenge for the side would be in England later in June and July.

And Yuzvendra Chahal has mapped out his preparations for the same. Chahal has been named for the T20s and ODIs in Ireland and England and the leg-spinner revealed he would be heading out to the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru after the IPL to work on his bowling.

“I have a month to prepare after the IPL. I will be going to the NCA for training and talk to my coach, (Narendra) Hirwani sir on how to go about it. He has played in UK and I will also be talking to others who have played there before to get an idea on how the pitches play and the weather etc,” Chahal said.

“Also, our A teams would be going earlier for their games and I have a lot of friends in them also. I will try and find out from them on how helpful the pitches are and how the bounce is,” Chahal said when asked about the upcoming tours.

The 27-year old, however, denied any pressure in his second international season ahead of his maiden England tour. “Just like they have videos of our games, we also have theirs. And before England, we are going to Ireland, the weather is expected to be the same there as in England so it will help,” he added.
