10:27 am: Rajneesh Gurbani! He can do no wrong in this match. He gets the big wicket of Mithun 33 (26), who finds the fielder at deep; Karnataka 189/9; 9 more needed.

10:24 am: The Mithun-Gopal partnership is the talking point of the morning, 43 runs off 42 balls for the ninth wicket; Karnataka 184/8.

10:10 am: FOUR! What a beautiful glance, and well, that’s coming from No 10. Mithun wants to finish it off.

10:00 am: Yadav and Gurbani are running in hard now. A victory seems near, but Karnataka can still turn it around if the batters survive; Karnataka 165/8; still need 33 more. Shreyas Gopal 17* (43) has spent sometime in the middle now. He can bat and bail his team out.

9:52 am: Less than 50 runs needed now, with Karnataka 150/8. Umesh Yadav and R. N. Gurbani are bowling well and the runs have dried up somewhat.

9:45 am: WICKET! R. N. Gurbani gives Vidarbha the much-needed breakthrough, of Vinay Kumar (36), caught behind. Abhimanyu Mithun has joined Shreyas Gopal in the middle. Now the equation is 53 runs and two wickets! Who's your money on? And that brings up a five-wicket haul for Gurbani.

9:40 am: Umesh Yadav and R. N. Gurbani toiling hard for Vidarbha, which needs to guard against giving runs in a heap. Karnataka needs 61 more runs and even Abhimanyu Mithun and Sreenath Arvind are no mugs with the bat.

9:32 am: Vinay Kumar holding fort here, runs required is now less than 80 and Karnataka has three wickets remaining. Vidarbha's R. N. Gurbani has been kept at bay so far this morning.

9:20 am: Karnataka has added seven runs to its overnight score (111/7), with Vinay Kumar battling on on 21 and leg-spinner Shreyas Gopal giving him company. This could go either way!
