Aaron Finch played a knock of 66 in the opener against Afghanistan.

Aaron Finch's struggle against the West Indies continued when he fell to Oshane Thomas for six in Australia's second match of World Cup 2019 at Trent Bridge on Thursday.

A length delivery from Thomas, moving away slightly but enough to take the outside edge. In ten innings against the Windies, Finch now has 173 runs with the highest score being 47. It was a similar struggle against swing and cramped up lengths that saw him depart in the Powerplay on four occasions in the previous series against Windies in 2016.

He averages 17.3 in 10 innings, it is a lowest against any side apart from New Zealand.

Australia, the defending champion, started off its campaign in this edition with a win against Afghanistan where Finch scored 66 at the top of the order.
