Rohit Sharma on Sunday scored the second fastest World Cup hundred by an Indian in the league stage match against Pakistan in Manchester.
The opener brought up his 24th ODI ton in 85 balls, tying with teammate Shikhar Dhawan, who reached his hundred in the same number of balls against Ireland in Hamilton at the 2015 World Cup.
Rohit's skipper Virat Kohli owns the record, his maiden World Cup hundred against Bangladesh coming off just 83 balls in Dhaka.
After being put into bat on Sunday, Rohit and K. L. Rahul put on a century-plus stand to put India in a commanding position.
Rohit has struck nine boundaries and three sixes and looks set for a big score as India aims to post a huge total on the board.
