India managed a well-fought 28-run victory over Bangladesh in Edgbaston on Tuesday. but the centre of attention was an 87-year-old fan cheering the Men in Blue with the tricolour and a bright yellow vuvuzela.

Captain Kohli promised her tickets to the game against Sri Lanka in Leeds and he did not disappoint. The BCCI tweeted a photograph of the superfan watching the game in Headingley. Sporting a team India jersey and her signature tricolour stole, Charulata looks ready to get the crowd going at Leeds too.

The tweet also has a photograph of a handwritten note from the Indian Skipper. "It is so inspiring to see your love and passion for our team," he said in the note.

"I hope you enjoy the games with your family," he added.

After his meeting with Charulata on Tuesday, Kohli tweeted out pictures with the superfan, thanking her for her support and blessings.

Charulata's fervent cheerleading caught the eye of the cameramen in Edgbaston and former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly in the commentary box.

Businessman Anand Mahindra offered to sponsor her tickets for India games through the remainder of the tournament but looks like Captain Kohli took command here as well.
