Shabnim Ismail's five-wicket haul was enough to keep South Africa alive in the five-match T20I series against India.

SA 134/5 in 19 overs: SA WINS.

The host has managed to win back one to stay alive in the series. Not the best of performance from the Indians, especially its batting being a major let down. After this match, the teams now move to Centurion for the fourth T20I on Wednesday at the SuperSport Park.

Tryon st Bhatia b Anuja Patil 34 (15).

SA 111/4 in 16.4 overs: OUT. This is a big blow for SA as Luss, who was batting well falls for 41 while going for the big shot off Pooja's bowling. De Klerk walks out to the crease with SA needing 23 off 20. The target looks very much achievable from this position.

Sune Luus c Shikha Pandey b Pooja Vastrakar 41 (34).

SA 84/3 in 14 overs: OUT. The final ball of the 14th over sees the third wicket fall for SA. Du Preez goes for 20, caught by Veda at long on. South Africa now need 50 off 36.

du Preez c Veda Krishnamurthy b Poonam Yadav 20 (27).

SA 55/2 in 10 overs: Steady batting from the South Africans so far without taking much of risk. However, the Indian bowlers too are keeping things tight.

SA 34/2 in 5.5 overs: OUT. Van Niekerk is stumped by Bhatia, as she steps out to Rajeshwari, but gets beaten by the turn.

van Niekerk st Bhatia b Rajeshwari Gayakwad 26 (20).

SA 29/1 in 5 overs: Not much damage done to SA following the dismissal of Lee in the third over, as van Neikerk seems to be in good touch, having smashed four boundaries so far, three of them coming against Vastraker in the fifth over. SA need 105 more to win.

SA 12/1 in 2.5 overs: Out. Vastrakar strikes first for India by taking out opener Lizelle Lee (5), caught at long-off. Sane Luus is the new batter in.

Lizelle Lee and Dane van Niekerk are out at the crease to start South Africa's chase of 133. Pooja Vastrakar to start the proceedings for India.

...................................................................................................................

IND 133  in 17.5 overs. Rajeshwari Gayakwad 1* (1). ALL OUT. India has been bundled for a relatively lower total than they would have expected three overs back. Back-to-back wickets in the past three four overs ruined India's chances of a big total as the lower middle-order failed to fire. SA needs 134 to win, and should be an easy chase, unless the Indian bowlers come up with something special. Meanwhile, Ismail's figures of 5 for 30 has been her best till date in this format.

Pooja Vastrakar c Chloe Tryon b Raisibe Ismail 2 (3). IND 133 in 17.5 overs

Poonam Yadav c Lizelle Lee b Raisibe Ismail 3 (4). IND 132/9 in 17.3 overs

IND 130/8 in 17 overs. Poonam Yadav 2* (2), Pooja Vastrakar 1* (1). OUT. And the wickets keep tumbling as Taniya and Shikha are dismissed in the same over off Klaas. India is eight wickets down now and can it bat out the remaining overs.

Shikha Pandey c Lizelle Lee b Masabata Klaas 3 (5). IND 127/8 in 16.3 overs

Taniya Bhatia c Marizanne Kapp b Masabata Klaas 1 (3). IND 125/7 in 16.1 overs

IND 125/6 in 14 overs. Shikha Pandey 1* (3), Taniya Bhatia 1* (2). OUT. It's Veda who is bowled by Daniels off a full length delivery, as she falls for 23. Four more overs to go.

Veda Krishnamurthy b Moseline Daniels 23 (14). IND 124/6 in 15.4 overs

IND 109/5 in 14 overs. Veda Krishnamurthy 9* (7), Shikha Pandey 0* (0). OUT. This time, it's Patil, who looks to go big, but has no control over the shot, as she hands an easy catch to Sune Luus off Ismail. Shikha Pandey is the new batter in.

Anuja Patil c Sune Luus b Raisibe Ismail 7 (8). IND 108/5 in 13.5 overs

IND 95/4 in 12 overs. Veda Krishnamurthy 1* (2), Anuja Patel 1* (1). OUT. The skipper Harmanpreet falls to Ismail after a well-made 48, caught behind by Lee. And just a couple of balls later, it's Rodrigues, who falls for 6 after being caught by van Niekerk.

Jemimah Rodrigues c Dane van Niekerk b Raisibe Ismail 6 (10). IND 94/4 in 11.4 overs

Harmanpreet Kaur c Lizelle Lee b Raisibe Ismail 48 (30). IND 93/3 in 11.2 overs

IND 37/2 in 8 overs. Harmanpreet 21* (18), Jemimah Rodrigues 1* (1). OUT. Mandhana, who was looking good, hands an easy catch to Moseline Daniels off Dane van Niekerk. It was a length ball asking to be hit, but the shot did not have enough power and landed straight down the throat of the fielder. Jemimah Rodrigues is the new batter in.

Smriti Mandhana c Moseline Daniels b Dane van Niekerk 37 (24)

IND 37/1 in 5 overs. Smriti Mandhana 24* (16), Harmanpreet Kaur 12* (9). After five overs, India has steadied following the early loss of Mithali for a duck. After the fall of Mithali, Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana have now taken charge of the innings.

IND 0/1 in 1 overs. Smriti Mandhana 0* (0), Harmanpreet Kaur 0* (0). Out. Mithali departs for a duck, caught behind by Marizanne Kapp off Lizelle Lee. Shaky start for India as the visitor suffers a setback in the opening over of the game.

Mithali Raj c Lizelle Lee b Marizanne Kapp 0 (5)
