After 59 games and seven weeks, the 12th edition moves to the summit clash where Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians meet on Sunday. For batting legend Sachin Tendulkar this is a "truly incredible IPL 2019".
Tendulkar says this season has seen more last-over finishes than previous editions.
"Truly incredible IPL 2019. Couldn't have asked for more after 31 last-over finishes this season. Never seen an IPL game this season where the stands weren't full. The IPL is contagious. The crowd and players complement each other," Tendulkar said before the start of the final game in Hyderabad.
For Mumbai and Chennai's success in IPL 2019, Tendulkar lauded the captains of both teams.
"Rohit (Sharma) and (Mahendra Singh) Dhoni have both been incredibly successful. It's because of their ability to read situations. Both are on their toes from ball one."
Chennai and Mumbai have won three IPL titles each and would be fighting for a record fourth.
