India wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha suffered an injury to his right thumb while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2018 Playoffs, Qualifier 2 against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Friday.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India's medical team will be assessing his injury in the coming days, and he will also be visiting a specialist, said the BCCI in a media release.

Saha, who played for Sunrisers Hyderabad, did not feature on Sunday as the Hyderabad outfit lost the final by eight wickets to Chennai Super Kings, which won its third IPL title.
