India leg-spinner Kuldeep Yadav, after impressing in the limited-overs series against England - nine wickets from three ODIs - failed to make a mark in his lone Test on English shores, returning figures of 9-1-44-0.
The committee of selectors decided to fly out Yadav from England, with Hanuma Vihari replacing him in the team for the last two Tests.

He also pointed out that the spinner will feature in India A’s two four-day Tests against Australia A in Bengaluru next week.
“We felt that it is better for him to get some game time. He will be picked for the two Tests against Australia A, that will help him prepare for the Asia Cup and the West Indies series,” Prasad said.
Kuldeep has nine wickets from three Tests at an economy rate of 3.44. With more preparation time coming his way, Kuldeep would be hoping to get in shape before the first Test against the West Indies in Rajkot from October 4.
