Rohera breaks world record for highest first-class debut score

Madhya Pradesh's Ajay Rohera scored 267 runs against Hyderabad, passing Amol Muzumdar's 24-year-old record.

Madhya Pradesh batsman Ajay Rohera scored 267 unbeaten on his first-class debut against Hyderabad. Mumbai's Amol Muzumdar previously held the record, after scoring 260 against Haryana in 1994.

The 21-year-old opener, who broke the record in Indore, also set a new cricket world record in the process.
