India skipper Virat Kohli, after the conclusion of the second Test against South Africa had said, "The only way was up." And the 30-year-old has stayed true to his word as his side beat Bangladesh 2-0 in Test series at home.

In the first test, the Indian side beat its Asian neighbour by an innings and 130 runs. The second match in Kolkata was a day/night affair in which the home side came out on top by an innings and 46 runs.

After beating West Indies 2-0 in the two-match Test series in August and September this year, Virat Kohli and Co. followed it up with another series whitewash against the Proteas.

The side won the first Test in Visakhapatnam by 203 runs, second Test in Pune by an innings and 137 runs, before recording an innings and 202 runs victory in Ranchi, which was the biggest Test victory against South Africa at home. Previously on the Carribbean tour, India won in Antigua by a mammoth 318 runs and in Kingston by 257 runs.

Australia is second in the standings with 216 points from eight games. It was involved in a drawn Ashes series against England and beat Pakistan 2-0 in a two-match home Test series.

Australia and England had been phenomenal in The Ashes. Both the teams recorded two wins each and a draw, thereby earning 56 points. England is currently placed sixth in the Championship.

Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by an innings and 44 runs in the first Test in Rawalpindi to register its second consecutive victory on home soil and go 1-0 in the two-Tests series. Youngster Naseem Shah was adjudged the Man of the Match for finishing with five wickets, including a hat-trick in the second innings.
