The attacking midfielder has been one of the best performers for Lajong in the recent past and he has scored 13 goals in 65 matches for the club.
“I feel extremely happy to be a part of Kerala Blasters. I hope to contribute well to the team and help win the title in the upcoming season of the Indian Super League. The fans have been a major source of support and I hope to see them cheer for the team this season as well,” said an excited Samuel after sealing his move to KBFC.
Samuel’s outstanding performance in the 2017-18 I-League season won him the I League U-22 Player of the year award and Kerala's assistant coach Ishfaq Ahmed hailed the young prospect's addition to the side.
The coach said: “He is one of the youngest players in the I League and his period with Shillong Lajong has made him a well experienced footballer for his age. He is technically very sound and will definitely be a valuable inclusion to the squad.”
