Neck to neck

The two teams went neck to neck for the greater part of the first half before a super raid by Rawal helped Panthers open up a six-point lead (14-8) by the 15th minute.

Making his second raid of the match, Rawal snared all the three remaining men of Dabang Delhi to inflict an ‘all-out’ and picked up two additional points to make it a total of five points in one raid. Panthers opened up a nine-point lead (18-9) at the half time and never looked back.

Dabang tried to make a comeback but found the opponent overshadowing it with better efforts. The two Iranian attackers, Abolfazl Maghsodlou and Meraj Sheykh, fetched some successful raid points in the second half where Delhi collected 16 but that was not enough.

Pink Panthers tallied 36 points from 11 matches to remain in the fifth spot, while Dabang Delhi continued at the bottom with 28 points from 12 matches.

The result: Jaipur Pink Panthers 36 (Pawan Kumar 6, Sidharth 6, Nitin Rawal 6) bt Dabang Delhi 25 (Abolfazl Maghsodlou 6, Meraj Sheykh 4).
