Sacramento Kings owner, Vivek Ranadive, has expressed his interest in investing in the Pro Kabaddi League. The business tycoon, who was born and raised in Mumbai, has revealed that he has spoken to some of the team owners -- including Abhishek Bachchan, who is the co-owner of Jaipur Pink Panthers -- about the possibility of buying a team.

“I have been talking about possibly investing in a kabaddi team. I played that game growing up, so it’s close to my heart,” Ranadive said on Friday.

“I think India is an incredible market. People forget that for 1,500 of the last 2,000 years, India was the world's largest economy, and thanks to some of the changes now, India is rising again,” the business tycoon said.

Some of the top business groups in the country have invested heavily in the Pro Kabaddi League, ever since its inception in 2014.
