Lewis Hamilton stars on pole for Sunday's British Grand Prix. He produced a spectacular lap in the final seconds of an intense qualifying session on Saturday to top the timings.
The defending three-time world champion, who had his first flying run in Q3 deleted because he ran off the track, outpaced the championship leader and his rival Rosberg with a lap in one minute and 29.287 seconds on Saturday.
Swede Marcus Ericsson was passed fit to race in Sunday's British Grand Prix after the Sauber driver's dramatic crash in final practice at Silverstone.
Ericsson was taken to hospital for checks on Saturday after the heavy smash in third practice but following a medical examination by the International Motoring Federation he has been given permission to race by the stewards.
