Qualifier Saurav Ghosal's bull run in the Channel VAS squash championship, a $100K World PSA tour event, came to an end after the Indian lost to the top seed Mohamed Elshorbagy 13-11, 11-8, 11-9 in the semifinals at the St. George's Hill here on Saturday.
India’s World No.26 had defeated Egypt’s Mohamed Abouelghar in the quarterfinals to enter his biggest ever PSA World Tour semifinal.

Ghosal had lost to Abouelghar in just 29 minutes the last time they played in September’s Macau Open final but he looked in good form coming into the match after following up a successful qualifying campaign with a surprise victory over World No.6 Marwan ElShorbagy in round one.
But World No. 3 Elshorbagy was too big a hurdle to cross for the Indian.
Elshorbagy said he was happy to see his 'friend' Ghosal play well again. "Happy to win in three against Saurav..Really happy to see him playing well again. One of the nicest guys I have ever met and hope to see him playing very well like that for the rest of the season," the Egyptian player posted on Instagram.
