Injury forces Bopanna out of Wimbledon

The tennis star, partnering Edouard Roger- Vasselin were playing Frederik Nielsen and Joe Salisbury when the Indian had to retire.

Indian star Rohan Bopanna’s campaign at the Wimbledon tennis tournament came to an end after he was forced to retire with an injury in the second round of the men’s doubles category here on Friday.

Rohan Bopanna and his French partner Edouard Roger Vasselin were trailing 4-6, 6-7, 1-2 against the unseeded British pair of Frederik Nielsen and Joe Salisbury when the Indian picked up an injury and was unable to continue.

Nielsen and Salisbury will face the Colombian team of Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah in the next round.
