Former world number eight Radek Stepanek said Sunday he would coach Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov at the forthcoming French Open.
“We have decided to get ready for the French Open together. We're not planning anything beyond that for now,” Stepanek said in a statement.
The 27-year-old Dimitrov, who has won eight titles, reached the world number three spot after winning the ATP Finals in 2017.
But he has since slid to 46th, also because of a shoulder injury.
The 40-year-old Stepanek ended his playing career in November 2017. He coached current world number one Novak Djokovic for two years until 2018, alongside Andre Agassi.
