Nagal, Gaston to feature in sixth Tennis Premier League in Mumbai from December 3-8

The tournament will be played in a 25-point format in which each franchise will play a total of five matches to make the semifinals.

The sixth edition of the Tennis Premier League (TPL) will be staged at the Cricket Club of India (CCI) from December 3 to 8.

The country’s No.1 player Sumit Nagal is scheduled to figure in the tournament which also expects to feature Hugo Gaston of France, Magda Linette of Poland and Elina Avanesyan of Armenia, among others.

In the entertaining 25-point format competition, all the teams will play matches in the league phase to make the semifinals. Each match will have men’s singles, women’s singles, mixed doubles and men’s doubles, for a total of 100 points.

The top four teams with the maximum points make the semifinals.

PBG Pune Jaguars, Bengal Wizards, Punjab Patriots, Hyderabad Strikers, Gujarat Panthers, Mumbai Leon Army apart from defending champion Bengaluru SG Pipers will be in the fray.
