Indian Wells: Prajnesh enters the main draw by beating Caruso

Prajnesh Gunneswaran, who made his first Grand Slam debut at the Australian Open 2019, has reached the main draw of the Indian Wells by beating Italy's Salvatore Caruso.

India's World No. 94 Prajnesh Gunneswaran beat Italy's Salvatore Caruso 6-2, 3-6, 6-2 on Thursday to enter the men's singles' main draw at the Indian Wells ATP Masters tournament. Prajnesh will face France Benoit Paire in the opening round on Friday.

Prajnesh, 29, made his Grand Slam debut earlier this year at the Australian Open and played his first ATP World Tour match in June 2018.

In the men's doubles, Rohan Bopanna and his Canadian partner Denis Shapovalov take on Bruno Soares and Jamie Murray on Friday.
