World Wrestling Championships: Rahul Aware loses in semifinal, will fight for bronze on Sunday

Rahul Aware lost to Georgian Beko Lomtadze in the 61 kg semifinal at the World Wrestling Championships. He will fight for a bronze medal on Sunday.

Rahul Aware lost to Beko Lomtadze, a former world silver-medallist, of Georgia in the 61kg semifinals of the World Wrestling Championships on Saturday.

He, however, has a chance to secure bronze with the bout scheduled for Sunday (September 22).

Aware trailed his Georgian opponent 1-7 after round one and ultimately went down 6-10.

Earlier in the day, Aware beat former Asian champion Rassul Kaliyev of Kazakhstan 10-7 in the quarterfinals to progress to the last-four.
