P.V. Sindhu will take on China's Beiwen Zhang in the India Open final on Sunday. Earlier, the Hyderabad shuttler overcame Thailand's Ratchanok Intanon 21-13, 21-15 in the semifinals. First seed Sindhu - the only remaining Indian player in the tournament - will be playing her second consecutive Indian Open final.

However, owing to the poor scheduling of the semifinals, the defending champion will run into Zhang, who finished her match exactly five hours before Sindhu did.

Meanwhile, the 11th-ranked Zhang, seeded five, battled for 63 minutes to overcome sixth seed Cheung Ngan Yi 14-21, 21-12, 21-19.
