West Indies collected a win in the final match of the 2019 World Cup, defeating Afghanistan by 23 runs at Headingley.

Chris Gayle score seven runs in his final World Cup match. His opening partner Ewin Lewis scored a half-century, as did Shai Hope and Nicholas Pooran.

Afghanistan, chasing 312, was bowled out for 288. Ikram Ali Khil and Rahmat Shah scored half-centuries.
