Arunachal Cricket Association’s secretary, Tado Kholi, passed away at a hospital in Itanagar on Tuesday after prolonged illness. He was 46.
One of the founder members of the association, Kholi was a lawyer by profession, but he played a key role in promoting cricket in the Northeastern state.
Over the years, the six Northeast states have battled the odds to be treated as full-member associations affiliated by the BCCI, and Kholi too played an active role in the process.
While former Arunachal chief minister, Nabam Tuki, led the association as the president, it was Kholi who looked after the cricketing affairs.
The other northeastern state associations have expressed their condolences to the Kholi family.
