Imran Tahir took a hat-trick, second of the season as Multan Sultans moved top of the table after thrashing Quetta Gladiators by nine wickets in a Pakistan Super League match on Saturday.
Gladiators after put in to bat, got off to a disastrous start and then lost its last five wickets for one run. Once Sohail Tanvir exposed the tail with his twin-strike, Tahir ran through the side by taking the hat-trick.
Captain Sarfraz Ahmed was the top scorer for his 33-ball 30 before the Gladiators were bundled out for 102 in 15.4 overs.
Kumar Sangakkara and Ahmed Shehzad didn't try anything fancy during the chase and put up a solid 66-run stand. The former Sri Lanka batsman remained unbeaten on 51 to take Multan home in 16.4 overs.
