Gold Cup: Honduras suffers first round exit at the hands of Curacao

Curacao stunned Honduras in the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup with a 1-0 win which saw the latter suffer a first-round exit on Friday.

Cardiff City midfielder Leandro Bacuna struck in the 40th minute as Curacao earned its first win in the competition at the BBVA Stadium in Houston, Texas. It was also its first goal in Gold Cup history.

Honduras had put the ball in the back of the net in the 60th minute mark but it was chalked off due to an offside call.

Jamaica and El Salvador played out a 0-0 draw in the other game on Friday.
