Missed the game? Fret not, we got you covered. Here are all the major updates of this evening's Chennaiyin FC vs Mumbai City FC clash on Sportstar's football podcast, The Full Time Show :

FULL TIME: Chennaiyin 0-0 Mumbai City: It all ends in a goalless draw at Chennai as both teams failed to find the net. With the result, Mumbai is placed second, just below NorthEast. Chennaiyin is eighth.

93' - SAUVIK IS SHOWN RED! He picks up his second yellow card for his foul on Thoi and Mumbai is down to ten men with just a minute left on the clock.

90' - Four minutes of additional time has been introduced. Also, Jorge Costa has picked up a booking for breaching rules in the technical area. No one is spared of the yellow cards today!

89' - Bipin goes for goal from distance.....and volleys it out of the park. Still, no goals.

85' - BLOCKED! Valskis comes into the box again as he aims for the goal but Sarthak blocks!

82' - CLEARED! Chhangte makes a blistering run from the right, from deep midfield. He squares the ball for Valskis in the centre but Sauvik heads it away!  Meanwhile, Kevyn is taken off for Bipin.

78' - Valskis hits it wide! He sit fed a cross from the right but he shoots it away from the target. Meanwhile, Thoi comes on for Schembri.

71' Rafael is down on the ground and seems to be in a lot of pain as he was caught by Sauvik. Rafael comes off and is replaced by Saighani.

68' - Machado, from the middle, finds Kevyn with a through pass, who shoots it straight at the goalkeeper. Goian clears it away later. Meanwhile, Dragos has been replaced with Valskis.

66' - In an altercation, Machado pushes away Dhanpal, who goes down theatrically.

61' - Raynier is brought off as Machado enters the field.

STAT: Chennai has 48% of ball possession as compared to Mumbai's 52%. However, Mumbai has had only one shot on target, whereas Chennai has had six.

56' - Larbi has received a yellow card.

53' - SAVE! Chennai takes a free-kick quickly as Sabia gets to the end of it. He is left unmarked and tries to tap in from the near post but Amrinder comes to the rescue. The Mumbai defence had gone to sleep there.

49' - OVER! Yards away from the goal, Lucian hits the ball over the goal after Chhangte sets him up with a pass from the left. Lucian does not really take shots often, which explains the shooting effort here.

47' - CHANCE! Dragos runs in from the right wing to enter the box. He plays the ball for Rafael, who cuts it back for his strikes only to see no one get to it. That was a great opportunity to break the deadlock! Meanwhile, Savuik is booked for his foul on Chhangte.

46' - Second half is underway.

Half time: Chennaiyin 0-0 Mumbai City - The first half ends with no goals as the teams walk out at the break. Chennai dominated the proceedings in the first 15 to 20 minutes but Mumbai bounced back with some attacks later. However, both sides have failed to find the net owing to their poor finishing. Second half awaits.

45' - Two minutes have been added on here.

40' - Chhangte goes for goal! Instead of sending the cross from the left, he cuts in and takes a shot towards the goal. Amrinder palms it away.

38' - Carlos does a fine job of finding Chermiti with a through ball up top. Chermiti chases the pass but Kaith gets to it first. We have about seven minutes of regulation time pending here in this half.

36' - Larbi quickly takes a free-kick for Mumbai and lobs the ball over the Chennai wall. Chermiti makes the run into the box as he stretches out his foot but fails to connect.

32' - CHANCE WASTED AGAIN! It is embarrassing how Mumbai has wasted yet another golden opportunity to put itself in the lead. This time it is Kevyn, who controls a lobbed pass from the midfield. He has only the goalkeeper to beat, but he slots it wide of the target. It is still 0-0 in Chennai.

28' - CHANCE WASTED! First Larbi shoots over the bar as he set up in front of the goal with a cross from the right (although the linesman claimed that was offside!), and later Schembri's diving header goes haywire after Raynier whipped in a cross from the right side. How have both sides not scored yet!?

24' - CHANCE! Chermiti fluffs a golden chance to bring Mumbai up as he shoots over the bar with only the goalkeeper to beat. A mistake in clearance from Chennai's right-back sees the central defence leave the ball for an onrushing Chermiti, who fails to send it into the net. Meanwhile, Sougou is off and on comes Kevyn.

20' - Oh no, Mumbai fans look away! Striker Sougou is down on the field in pain as he receives treatment. He is holding his leg as he seems to have stretched his hamstring while trying to control an aerial pass.

18' - Chhangte is put through on the left flank. He dashes forward and then dribbles into the box before cutting it back for Rafael, who ltries to lob the keeper but does not hit the target.

13' - CHANCE! Chennai is pouncing on Mumbai here! Chhangte attacks from the left and sends a cross into the box, which is first blocked by Amrinder. The cleared ball falls into the way of Rafael, who sends his miscued shot out of the field.

11' - SHOT...AND OVER! Rafael has been threatening so far for Mumbai defenders! Rafael comes in from the middle, as he is blocked by the defenders he trips and falls but he recovers and is on his feet. He cuts in with his right foot before unleashing a left-footed shot from distance, which flies over! Amrinder is furious with the defence.

8' - Schembri makes his way towards the Mumbai box as Dragos makes the overlapping run. Schembri waits for support in the middle and Rafael joins the move. However, Rowllin intercepts.

5' - Running down the left wing, Bose goes up the pitch and whips in a cross from the flanks, but Kaith comes forward to pull off to collect is safely! The ball was high up in the air, so that was a great effort from Vishal at goal.

2' - CHANCE! Chennai gets off to a bright start as it attacks from the left. Rafael cuts in from the left and takes a shot, which forces Amrinder to come off the line. The goalkeeper blocks it through his legs, but the loose ball falls in the way of Schembri, who shoots it over the bar! Great save from Amrinder, who yet again rescued the Islanders.

1' - Kickoff! The action begins in Chennai's JLN stadium.

- Mumbai starts in a 4-3-3 shape with Grgic replaced by Pratik in defence, due to a hamstring injury. Machado too does not start as Sougou returns to the first XI. As for Chennai, Thapa joins Dhanpal in their double pivot pairing. Tondonba replaces Jerry L in defence.

RECAP OF YESTERDAY

NorthEast United FC (NEUFC) scrapped a win over Odisha FC thanks to a late winner from Asamoah Gyan in the Indian Super League (ISL) match on Saturday in Guwahati.

Xisco Hernandez cancelled out an early NEUFC lead given by Redeem Tlang in the 72nd minute. But a red card to defender Carlos Delgado immediately after cost Odisha its initiative as Gyan thundered home a header to seal all three points for the Highlanders.

MATCH PREVIEW

Two-time Indian Super League (ISL) champion Chennaiyin FC will face its first home test of the season when it hosts Mumbai City FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium today.

The home side's campaign began in bitter fashion as it slipped to a 3-0 loss at FC Goa but head coach John Gregory, in his third season with the club, is hopeful of a winning start at home.

“The ISL comes quick and you have to pick up results quickly. I made three changes against FC Goa and the boys that came on did very well. I might make one or two changes against Mumbai. I can bring in two more foreigners who did not start the FC Goa game. Tomorrow (Sunday) is a good opportunity to pick up a win,” he said at the pre-match conference.

Chennaiyin's defence endured a troublesome evening as it struggled to contain FC Goa's attack led by Ferran Corominas, while the attackers had a couple of decent chances. Romanian striker Dragos Firtulescu had a great chance to open the scoring when he was brought down in the box in what appeared to be a clear penalty, but much to Gregory's angst the referee saw no foul.

Mumbai City coach Jorge Costa, whose team comes on the back of a hard-fought win over Kerala Blasters, said he was wary of the home team. “We played Chennaiyin in the pre-season and I saw their first game. That's why I say we have a very difficult game tomorrow. I still haven't decided what to do (strategy), but we will fight for three points,” he said.

Chennaiyin will miss Jeje Lalpekhlua due to a long-term injury and Germanpreet Singh is on personal leave. Mumbai City will be without centre-back Mato Grgic, while midfielder Paulo Machado's participation remains doubtful.
