Biggest deals so far

Peep.. peep... peep.. That's the end of another transfer window deadline day, a rather uneventful one. We will bring you further updates on any 'injury-time' loan moves which may have gone through in the morning. Take a look at the most notable transfers which went went through in January. That's good night from us! Thank you for following our coverage.

4.30 am: Leicester City legend Andy King has left the club for Frank Lampard's Derby.

Three minutes to go and looks like Michy Batshuayi will not get his move to Crystal Palace. Will there be a late drama to this story?

4.21 am: Scottish Premier League side Celtic signs Germany U-21 right-back Jeremy Toljan on loan until the end of the season from Dortmund.

4.04 am: Twenty-two-year-old Alen Halilovic, another wunderkind who hasn't hit the heights yet, has been loaned out by AC Milan to Belgium side Standard Liege.

Thirty minutes until the end of the transfer window in England. Can Gueye make his way out of Finch Farm? If the clubs can send in their deal sheets before 23:00 GMT (4:30 AM IST), then they will get another two hours to get the deals completed. So do not be surprised to wake up to the news of new signings post the stipulated deadline time.

3.46 pm: Reports suggest that PSG's late bid of around £26 million for Idrissa Gueye has been turned down buy Everton.

Spare a thought for Mauricio Pochettino and Tottenham Hotspur... No new signings in the summer and winter transfer window, talisman Harry Kane and Dele Alli are out injured.

3.11 pm: No new updates on Fellaini's move to Shandong Luneng. The transfer doesn't have be completed today, however.

With little over two hours to go now, we may not see any more big-money transfers until the end of the transfer window.

1.58 am: Shinji Kagawa, who set out from Dortmund for Monaco on the 31st, has now joined Turkey's Besiktas. No 'Come to Besiktas' Twitter video from its social media team though. Disappointing.

1.42 am: Portuguese Adrien Silva is sent to Monaco in return. His £22 million move to the King Power Stadium in 2017 hadn't gone according to plan for both the parties.

1.32 am: Excellent business from Leicester City! The 2015-16 champion has roped in Belgium midfielder Youri Tielemans on a six-month loan from Monaco.

12.49 am: Remember Lucas Piazon? You may have seen him on the Chelsea bench in its win over Tottenham in the Carabao Cup last week. Once touted to be the next Kaka due to their similar playing styles (and possibly appearance), the attacking midfielder is off for his SIXTH loan spell in as many years, this time to Italian side Chievo.

12.48 am: Sam Vokes has gone the other way to Stoke as part of the Crouch deal with the Championship side paying £7 million.

12.43 am: Finally, the official announcement you have all been waiting for... or maybe just the hardcore nostalgics. The 38-year-old Peter Crouch returns to the Premier League as a Claret! A clever, budget-friendly announcement video from Burnley here.

12.10 am: Barcelona isn't quite done yet in this transfer window. The LaLiga champion has secured a deal for 20-year-old Brazilian right-back Emerson from Atletico Mineiro, who will join the side in July. Has Barca unearthed the next Dani Alves?

Here's the full story.

11.57 pm: And... it's official! RB Leipzig confirms Smith-Rowe loan move.

The German transfer window has come to an end. Arsenal's Emile Smith-Rowe could still make his loan move to RB Leipzig, however.

11.13 pm: West Ham's 20-year-old defender Reece Oxford completes his loan move to German club Augsburg.

10.10 pm: Cardiff signs 27-year-old Leandro Bacuna from Reading on a four-and-a-half year deal.

10.05 pm: It's been quite the eventful last two months for Fulham forward Aboubakar Kamara. In December, the Frenchman snatched a penalty off Aleksandar Mitrovic to only fail to convert it in the win over Huddersfield. His boss Claudio Ranieri wanted to, in his own words, 'kill him' for disobeying orders! Last week, he was banned indefinitely by his club for a training ground altercation.

Kamara has now been shipped out for six months to Turkish side Yeni Malatyaspor.

There's not been much activity in the transfer mill... Here's a poll to rejig your transfer window memory. Know of any memorable deadline day transfer in January?

9.26 pm: No incomings yet for Spurs but their winger Georges-Kévin N'Koudou, who assisted Harry Winks' late winner against Fulham earlier this month, joins Ligue 1 side Monaco on a six-month loan spell.

9.17 pm: Are you ready for the 'Robot' ?

8.07 pm: OFFICIAL! Miguel Almiron becomes Newcastle United's most expensive transfer ! The Paraguayan joins from MLS side Atlanta United for a reported fee of £20.5 million. The 25-year-old midfielder racked up 13 goals and 11 assists in the MLS last season.

7.54 pm: Out of favour Bournemouth central defender Tyrone Mings has joined Championship side Aston Villa. His career has never really taken off at the Cherries since his move in 2015. You might remember him for his stamp on former Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic back in 2017 which got him a five-match ban.

7.05 pm: If you are a Chelsea fan, you can relax for a bit. The results on the pitch might not be going Chelsea's way but there's good news on the transfer front. Bayern Munich has ended its pursuit of Callum Hudson-Odoi. For now, that is.

"We will no longer be active in the transfer market," said Bayern head coach Nico Kovac in a press conference.

This transfer saga is set to resume in the summer.

6.57 pm: Away from the transfer news, there's some good news for Manchester United fans. Anthony Martial has signed a new contract , till 2024 with an option for a further year.

After signing the contract, he said, "I would like to thank Ole and his coaching staff for their belief in me and for helping me to take my game to the next level."

Were his comments pointed at a certain Special One or are we reading too much into it?

6.49 pm: Looks like there is more drama on deadline day. Idrissa Gueye has apparently taken an impromptu trip to Paris. Can PSG and Everton agree a fee or will this be a very bad, and short, vacation in the fashion capital of the world?

6.44 pm: When Fabregas left for Monaco, Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri said that getting a replacement for the Spanish midfielder was important. And he's still waiting for that to happen.

6.40 pm: Monaco in the news again today, but it's another exit. Another loan move, with an option to buy. Newcastle United has confirmed Antonio Barreca's signing.

6.39 pm: Napoli midfielder Allan was widely expected to leave the Italian side this January. But PSG could not agree a transfer fee with Napoli and now manager Carlo Ancelloti has ruled of the sale of Allan.

6.35 pm: Hajduk Split's teenager midfielder Ante Palaversa has joined Manchester City, signed his contract and then immediately rejoined the Croatian side on loan until the end of the 2019-20 season. The fee is reported to be £7 million and Man City is said to have an option of recalling him next January.

The Croatia Under-19 international is happy to stay with his boyhood club ahead of linking up with “one of the biggest clubs in the world”.

6.33 pm: Looks like Denis Suarez will be the only high for Arsenal fans today. According to reports, Yannick Carrasco and Ivan Perisic are staying at their respective clubs. Till the summer at least.

6.31 pm: Parma sporting director Daniele Faggiano has rejected speculation Bruno Alves is set for a deadline day move to Juventus. After signing Cesc Fabregas a couple of days ago, young midfielder Pele has joined Nottingham Forest on loan until the end of the season.

6.23 pm: Amid all the drama, Ivan Rakitic has reiterated that he has no plans to leave Barcelona . He has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs in the last few days.

6.21 pm: With reports that Fellaini has completed a medical with Chinese Super League outfit Shandong Luneng, the Belgium international posted an image of himself and his entourage at an airport on social media. Set to fly east? Or just on a holiday?

6.19 pm: Jonny Otto's Wolves move is not going to be the only record deal completed today by the look of things. Miguel Almiron was spotted at Newcastle United's training ground earlier in the day and he is expected to put the finishing touches to a £20.5 million transfer.

The 24-year-old Paraguay international is set to leave MLS Cup champions Atlanta United, which is in line to receive a league-record fee - topping Alphonso Davies' move from Vancouver Whitecaps to Bayern Munich .

6.10 pm: Miguel Almiron and Marouane Fellaini appear to be edging closer to moves.

6.05 pm: Rafa Benitez's week has gotten better. Antonio Barreca is said to have signed a contract with Newcastle. A 23-year-old Italian full-back who was earlier with Monaco, in case who were wondering who that is.

5.40 pm: Barcelona's Denis Suarez has bid (temporary) goodbye to Barcelona and has completed a six-month loan move to Arsenal. He has signed on loan from Barcelona after extending his contract at Camp Nou until 2021, though the Gunners have an option to purchase him permanently.

Emery said of the deal: "[Suarez] brings us quality and options in many different attacking positions, so he'll be able to help the team." Here's a full report on the same.

There's more transfer action from Arsenal but this time in the opposite direction. Teenage midfielder Emile Smith Rowe has travelled to RB Leipzig for a medical ahead of a loan switch .

5.23 pm: Still nothing concrete on Javier Chicharito Hernandez's move from West Ham United to Valencia. Surprisingly, Bundesliga club Schalke could be the Mexican's next club if talks are successful.

5.08 pm: Wolves signs Atletico Madrid full-back Jonny Otto. The Spain international, previously on loan, completed a move that reportedly tied the club's £18 million transfer record.

4:58 pm: Former Juventus forward Sebastian Giovinco has completed a move to Saudi club Al-Hilal from MLS club Toronto FC.

4.54 pm: Peter Crouch 's move back to the Premier League with Burnley from Stoke City is most likely to be announced in the next few hours.

4:48 pm: Chelsea midfielder Lucas Piazon is in Italy to complete a loan move to Chievo.

4.45 pm: Dominating names in the fray include Marouane Fellaini and Mesut Ozil. Fellaini is set to move to Chinese Super league outfit Shandong Luneng, while Arsenal midfielder Ozil, who hasn't got enough game time under Unai Emery, is seen as a likely short-term replacement for the injured Neymar at Paris Saint Germain.

Another big name who could seal a transfer today is Ivan Perisic, with Arsenal reportedly interested in roping the Croat from Juventus. Stay tuned to our live blog for instant updates on all the major transfers.
