32-37 An empty raid from Rishank! That's the end of the contest and what a match this has been! A deserved victory for UP Yoddhas! After trailing 0-12 at the start and suffering a deficit of 20 points, Thalaivas somehow made a match of this in the second half. But they lost out on some technical points which halted its momentum towards a comeback. Yoddhas played the clock wisely in the last few minutes to open their account for the new season.

Prashant Kumar, Shrikant Jadhav and Sagar Krishna all have three points fro the Yoddhas.

That's the end of the first half. It's been a one-sided show with the Yoddhas outclassing the home side in all departments.

We now move on to the second match of the evening — Tamil Thalaivas and UP Yoddha. The home crowd will be excited to see their team in action after last night's thrashing of the defending champion Patna Pirates.

34-22 An empty raid from Vikas and that's all the action we will see in the contest. Nitin Tomar leads the Paltan to its first win of the season over the Steelers.

34-22 Oh oh.. Surender Nada is down and isn't moving his left arm... Paltan's Girish Maruti says Nada's arm is broken to his bench. Nada's injury could turn out to be a huge loss for the Steelers.

GB More and Nitin Tomar have led the way with 4 and 3 points, respectively. Surender Nada for the Steelers has starred in defence with 3 points. Six raid points affected by Paltan while just two successful raid points for the Steelers.

Puneri Paltan VS Haryana Steelers

We move on to the second day of the new season of the PKL from the Nehru indoor stadium. Puneri Paltan which earned a thrilling tie last night against rival U Mumba will take on Haryana Steelers in the opening match of the evening. Chennai's own Tamil Thalaivas will be looking to carry forward its momentum with the opening night's win when it faces off against UP Yoddha.
