The manager of Michael Schumacher has refused to comment on remarks from former Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo that news on the Formula One legend's health is "not good".

Schumacher, a winner of seven F1 world titles including five in a row between 2000 and 2004, suffered serious head injuries following a skiing accident in France in December 2013.

The German was placed into a medically-induced coma, before later returning home to continue his rehabilitation.

Di Montezemolo was quoted as telling reporters: "I have news and unfortunately it is not good.

"Life is strange. He was a fantastic driver and only had one accident with Ferrari in 1999."

When contacted by Omnisport, Sabine Kehm – Schumacher's manager – declined to comment on the Italian's statement.
