Pankaj Advani will be competing in the third and final leg of the Asian Snooker Tour.

Pankaj Advani starts as favourite in the third and final leg of the ACBS Asian Snooker Tour, which commences at Karnataka State Billiards Association here on Monday.

Advani won the previous leg in Jinan (China), and tops the Asian Snooker Tour rankings.

The tournament has taken an early hit, as six players have dropped out from the original 24-player field due to various reasons.

The 18 remaining players have been divided into four groups. Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ consist of five players each, while the remaining two groups have four players each.

The top-four from Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ will progress to the last-16 knockout round, while all four players from Group ‘C’ and Group ‘D’ will earn spots in the last-16, KSBA President Arvind Savur explained.

The group stage matches will be best-of-seven frame affairs. The final and semifinal will be held on Thursday.
