Asian Wrestling C'ship: Navjot Kaur enters final

The Indian defeated Tsevegmed Enkhbayar of Mongolia in the 65kg category.

India's Navjot Kaur defeated Tsevegmed Enkhbayar of Mongolia to enter the 65kg category final, thus securing a medal at the Asian Wrestling Championship in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

In what was another boost for India on Friday, Olympic medallist Sakshi Malik entered the 62kg repechage round with a defeat of Jiae Choi of Korea. She faces Kazakhstan's Ayaulym Kassymova in the bronze medal match.

On Thursday, Vinesh Phogat had secured a silver medal with a 3-2 loss to China's Chun Lei in the 50kg women's freestyle category.

On Twitter, Phogat wrote her experience at the championship was "a good start" to 2018.
