Mo Farah will make history if he wins the 5,000m in Rio.

It was a historic night for P. V. Sindhu as she became the youngest - and the only woman - to win a silver medal for India. Sindhu went down to World No. 1 Carolina Marin in an epic three-game battle. Marin became the first woman out of Asia to win the gold medal in badminton.

Usain Bolt completed a 'triple triple' (winning the 100m, 200m and 4x100m races thrice) after guiding Jamaica to victory in the relay. Bolt ran the anchor leg with Jamaica finishing in 37.27 seconds.

The spotlight will be on Mo Farah on day 16 of the games, as he attempts to become only the second man after Lasse Viren, the Flying Finn, to win 5,000m and 10,000m gold at two Olympics.

Day 16 has 30 gold medals on offer.
