Abhinav Bindra almost won another medal for India. >Almost . Tied at 163.8 after 16 shots with the eventual silver medallist Serhiy Kulish of Ukraine, Bindra shot a 10.0 compared to a 10.5 by Kulish.

Another valiant effort went in vain at the hockey field, when the men in blue conceded a late goal against Germany to go down 1-2 in a Group B match.

Meanwhile, Australia made history, clinching the first rugby sevens gold with a win over New Zealand in the women's final. After his shock exit in the first round men's singles tie, Novak Djokovic lost in the second round of the doubles alongside Nenad Zimonjic.

The fifth day of the Games offers 15 gold medals.
