Chennai duo wins BWF World Senior Badminton title

The Indian duo of Ajith Haridas and Vijay Lancy won the men’s doubles 40-plus title in the Yonex BWF World Senior Badminton Championship held at Katowice, Poland.

In the final played on Sunday, Haridas and Lancy defeated the Danish pair of Esben Kaempegaard and Morten Rasmussen 19-21, 21-17, 21-19.

The Chennai duo, members of the Madras Cricket Club, had earlier beaten the French team of Xavier Engrand and Jerome Krawcyzk 21-13, 18-21, 21-8.
