Hello and welcome to the LIVE updates from day one action of Korea Open.
4:30pm: At the end of Day 1 of Korea Open, only Saina Nehwal has survived in the singles competition. Sameer Verma and Vaishnavi Reddy lost their singles matches to bow out.
4:22pm: It's all over for Sameer Verma in the first round of Korea Open. He loses to Denmark's Anders Antonsen 15-21, 21-16, 21-7.
4:05pm: Sameer tried his best to make a comeback and is decently successful. He won five consecutive to make it 16-19, but the Dane has managed to hold on and win the second game 21-16.
4:00pm: Sameer Verma has completely lost the plot against the Dane in the second game. Antonsen has built himself a comfortable 19-11 lead.
3:50pm: A bit of a setback for World No. 22 Sameer in the second game. He trails the World No. 17 8-11 at the midway stage.
3:40pm: Sameer Verma wins the first game 21-15 against Denmark's Anders Antonsen. While Sameer and Antonsen were going neck-and-neck until the midpoint at 12-12, the Indian raced ahead with three consecutive points and never looked back. He further strengthened his lead with another four-point run to take the first game away from the Dane.
2:12pm: The US shuttler is running away with the match as she gets the momentum going with a 11-6 lead in the second game. Zhang takes 19 minutes to beat Reddy in straight games 21-10, 21-9.
2:05pm: Vaishnavi Reddy's first round match against USA's Beiwen Zhang gets underway. Not the kind of start, Reddy would have expected as she concedes the first game 10-21.
10:54am: Saina Nehwal storms into round-of-16 with a convincing 21-12, 21-11 win over Korea's Kim Hyo Min.
10:38am: Saina doesn't seem to be in any kind of trouble as she comfortably sits with a 11-6 lead in the second game. But can't afford to relax with a possibility of the Korean striking back.
10:32am: Saina walks away with the first game 21-12. She didn't give the Korean shuttler a chance for making a comeback.
10:13am: Saina Nehwal's Round one match against Korea's Kim Hyo Min gets underway. Dominating start by the Indian ace shuttler, as she goes to the interval of the first game with a 11-3 lead.

Saina Nehwal and Sameer Verma will look to put their best foot forward when they lead the Indian challenge in the main draw on Wednesday.
Also, Vaishnavi Reddy Jakka will be in action today in the women's singles match against Beiwen Zhang of USA.
Earlier, Ajay Jayaram failed to enter the main draw as Indian shuttlers struggled in the qualification stages World Tour Super 500 tournament in Seoul.
Jayaram lost to China’s Zhao Junpeng 26-24, 21-18 in the men’s singles qualifiers.
Young Vaidehi Choudhari went down without a fight to Kim Ga Eun of Korea 21-8, 21-8, while Mugdha Agrey was knocked out by former world number one Chinese LI Xuerui 21-8, 21-8, in the women’s singles.
