PBL: We have a balanced team, says Pune's Mathias Boe

Pune7Aces captain Mathias Boe feels his team has the right players to compete for the title in season 4 of the Premier Badminton League.

Pune 7 Acers' captain Mathias Boe is confident of his team's capabilities.

Captain of Pune 7 Aces Mathias Boe, on Thursday asserted that his side will be a strong contender to win the Premier Badminton League (PBL).

The fourth season of the PBL begins on Saturday at the National Sports Club of India in Mumbai,with the opening match to be played between Pune 7 Acers and Hyderabad Hunters.

“It will be an exciting season and I am looking forward to it.

“We have a very balanced side with youth complimenting experience and I am sure that we will be a very strong contender for the title,” Boe said.

Boe along with icon player and reigning Olympic champion Carolina Marin were present during the unveiling of the franchise's jersey in the presence of Bollywood star and co-owner Taapsee Pannu at Phoenix Market City in Kurla.

Carolina Marin is Pune 7 Acers icon player for the PBL Season 4.

 

Marin, the icon player of Pune 7 Aces, said she was looking forward to her match against P.V. Sindhu, whom she beat in the final of the Rio Olympics.

“I am excited to join Pune 7 Aces for PBL. India has always been a great experience and I am really happy to be back. I am looking forward to my first match against PV Sindhu,” the Spaniard said.
